Confederation of African Canoeing activities Q2 2026

During the second quarter of 2026 (April–June), the Confederation of African Canoeing (ACA/CAC) participated in a number of governance, planning, and competition organisation activities.
On 7 April, a meeting was held with the South African National Federation (RSA NF) to discuss South Africa's hosting of the 2027 African Canoe Slalom (CSL) Championships. On 27 April, CAC met with the International Canoe Federation (ICF) to discuss the organisation of competitions.
The CAC Board of Directors met on 3 June to review organisational matters and strategic priorities. On 2 June and 26 June, CAC participated in the ICF Board of Directors’ meetings, contributing to discussions on the governance and development of the sport. On 13 June, CAC met with the Algerian National Federation to discuss the organisation of the African Canoe Sprint Championships. On 27 June, CAC held an Extraordinary Congress.
In addition, CAC attended the ICF Board of Directors’ meetings in Budapest on 6–7 May. From 10–12 June, CAC participated in ANOCA Local Organising Committee (LOC) meetings for the African School Games, which also included a site inspection of the canoeing venue to assess preparations for the event.
