Nelo
From boat design to services and technology in paddle sport, Nelo has become a major innovator in canoeing.
The company, created in 1978 by former Portuguese paddler Manuel Ramos, is located in Vila do Conde, Portugal where its 150 workers produce boats of the highest quality and distributes them across the world.
More than 75 per cent of the boats raced during major world and continental competitions are from Nelo.
Since the Athens 2004 Olympics, Nelo has been the official provider of boats for Canoe Sprint at the Games.
Nelo has also created a rental service that provides hundreds of boats for events, handling all the logistics.
