The dates of the 2025 European Canoe Association European Championships have been confirmed following a Board of Directors meeting. 

The ECA’s Board met online where members agreed on when the eight ECA European Championships of 2025 will take place. 

Seven different European countries will host these major continental events next year with Italy staging two ECA European Championships in two different locations in the same week. 

The ECA European Championships season will begin in May at the Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium to continue the successful legacy of the course that staged the Canoe Slalom competition at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. 

The Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium will hold the ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships from May 14 to 18. 

June will be the busiest month of the ECA European Championships season with four taking place in a thrilling period. 

The 2025 ECA Canoe Marathon European Championships will take the best paddlers of the continent to the picturesque location of Portugal’s Ponte de Lima from June 2 to 8. 

In the same week, two more ECA European Championships will be staged in Italy. 

From June 4 to 7, Spresiano will hold the 2025 ECA Dragon Boat Nations and Clubs European Championships. 

While that event is taking place, Mezzana, a popular tourist village in the heart of Italian Alps, will play host to the ECA Wildwater Canoeing European Championships from June 4 to 8. 

2025 ECA European Championships season dates

Racice, a world-renowned Canoe Sprint venue in Czechia, will be in the spotlight from June 19 to 22 when it stages the ECA Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe European Championships. 

This venue is no stranger to competitions of the highest level having hosted both World and European Championships as well as World Cup races. 

From July 3 to 6, the ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships will be held in Pitesti, Romania, another venue with a rich history of organising international canoeing events. 

The ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom European Championships will stage on July 30 in Solkan, Slovenia and run until August 3. 

The event has previously been held on the beautiful Soča River in 1999, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2021. Only Krakow, Poland has so far hosted more ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom European Championships. 

The ECA European Championships season will conclude in September with the eighth and final event of 2025. 

Kalisz, Poland will be the host as it will stage the ECA Canoe Polo European Championships from September 9 to 14.

  • June 4 to 8 - ECA Wildwater Canoeing European Championships - Mezzana, Italy
  • June 19 to 22 - ECA Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe European Championships - Racice, Czechia
  • July 3 to 6 - ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships - Pitesti, Romania 
  • July 30 to August 3 - ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom European Championships - Solkan, Slovenia 
  • September 9 to 14 - ECA Canoe Polo European Championships - Kalisz, Poland
