Registrations for this year’s ICF Stand Up Paddle World Championships in Pattaya, Thailand, has passed the 500 mark with still two months to go.

Athletes from 44 nations have already signed on for the November 15-19 competition, with the event on track to become the biggest ICF SUP World Championships to date.

A preliminary schedule has been released, with sprint preliminary races kicking off the event on November 15, and the technical races closing the program on the 19th. The full draft program is as follows;

15th- sprint preliminary races

16th- sprint main draw

17th- long distance/inflatable

18th- technical preliminary races

19th- technical main draw

The final chance for athletes to avoid preliminary races in Pattaya will come in Sarasota, Florida, at the ICF World Cup on October 13-15.

Organisers will announce shortly an exciting calendar of events to take place off the water, as well -as extracurricular races during the event, including a race for children.

Shuttle buses for athletes with boards will run from Jomtien Beach to the sprint regatta on November 15 and 16. More details, including airport shuttles, will be published shortly, but will be open only to registered participants.

The ICF is excited to be working with local organisers in Pattaya, who are putting together an exciting program, and the ICF’s environmental partner, Starboard, who is organising sustainability education exercises.
