Jessica Fox showed her class in the women's C1 as Luka Bozic bagged his first International Canoe Federation Canoe Slalom World Cup medal in La Seu d'Urgell since 2023.
Here is what the medallists had to say after an action-packed C1 finals.
Jessica Fox (AUS - gold)
It was not a good day in kayak yesterday. So is special to bounce back and put down some good paddling. The heats races are always tough, you know, to piece it all together, and do enough to get into the final, which I did, so I'm pleased with that and to then race the way I did in the final felt good.
Miren Lazkano (ESP - silver)
I lost my mom two weeks ago. This medal means a lot. I wished she was here but I am sure she is watching me from somewhere. I don’t know sometimes I wasn't focused at all on the race because I felt so lost in the last two weeks.

Martina Satkova (CZE - bronze)
It is a good step forward. I made some mistakes in the final, which cost me maybe a better medal today but I'm still super happy with the bronze. When you have a medal, you are just happy. I appreciate the bronze medal and the atmosphere was good. The kids were around the course, so it was just a good atmosphere.
Luka Bozic (SLO - gold)
It's been a long time since I was on the podium, more than one year. It was a tough time for me with the injury and the third surgery. I think my knee is never going to be the same but I managed to do the run. So it is nice to be here and win the gold medal.
Adam Burgess (GBR - silver)
I've had two good runs today and =I'm really happy with that. I feel like it's reflected in how I've been paddling in training, which you don't always get. So it's a nice feeling and it's a great way to start the season as well.

Nicolas Gestin (FRA - bronze)
I feel happy with the result. Without the fault, I could have won. This is what happened to me in the European Championships as well. I have learnt my lesson. I did not know what form I was in this week, but being in the final and winning a medal in the first World Cup is a good start. It is a good warm-up for the rest of the event.
