Ukraine’s Victoriia Us led the way at the International Canoe Federation Canoe Slalom Ranking Race in Krakow, producing a dominant display to secure double gold.
Us was in superb form as she captured the women’s canoe and kayak titles in the Polish city.
The home nation also enjoyed a successful competition, with Kacper Sztuba claiming victory in the men’s C1 and Mateusz Polaczyk powering Poland to gold in the men’s K1.
Switzerland proved unstoppable in the kayak cross events, as Fia Buetikofer and Nicolas Fehlmann completed commanding doubles by winning both the kayak cross and kayak cross individual titles in the women’s and men’s categories.
Ukraine’s Us delivered one of the standout performances in Krakow, storming to victory in the women’s C1 with the biggest winning margin of the day.
Us clocked 126.67 to comfortably finish ahead of Switzerland’s Fia Buetikofer, who took silver in 137.68, while Slovakia’s Hana Danisova secured bronze in 143.45.
Sztuba reigned supreme in the men’s C1, finishing in 105.16 on home waters.
Slovakia’s Dominik Egyhazy claimed silver in 106.31 as Great Britains Luc Royle took bronze in 111.41.
Us later completed a golden double with victory in the women’s K1, posting a winning time of 116.08.
Her victory denied Poland’s Dominika Brzeska a home triumph, with the Polish paddler settling for silver in 117.20.
Australia’s Sarah Crosbee completed the podium in 117.87.
It was a red and white clean sweep as Poland charged the men’s K1 podium, with Polaczyk claiming gold in 94.10.
Compatriot Krzysztof Majerczak captured silver in 99.17 as Michal Pasiut completed the one-two-three in 99.93.
Buetikofer got her gold in the women’s kayak cross, with Slovakia’s Zara Zahorska taking silver and New Zealand’s Rosie Rex claiming bronze.
Fehlmann captured gold in the men’s kayak cross, compatriot Patrick Gutknecht took silver, and Latvia’s Martins Plaudis secured bronze.
The kayak cross individual saw a similar theme as Fehlmann, Gutnecht, and Plaudis completed the same one-two-three, with the Swiss paddler claiming victory once again.
The women’s kayak cross individual mirrored the earlier race, as Buetikofer once again took gold ahead of Zahorska and Rex in silver and bronze respectively.
