More than 230 athletes from 41 nations across all five continents have come together in Sydney, Australia poised to compete at the International Canoe Federation Slalom World Championships.
Action will take place from September 29 to October 4 with medals on offer on every single day as paddlers seek to be crowned world champions.
The first world titles will be awarded on September 29 with the men’s and women’s kayak cross individual.
This will be followed by the canoe teams on September 30, kayak teams on October 1, kayak on October 2, canoe on October 3 and kayak cross on October 4.

The ICF is working with host broadcaster Nine along with a growing collection of TV partners to ensure the World Championships is aired worldwide.
TV stations in Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Czechia, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia and United States will broadcast the competition.
In addition, the ICF’s world feed broadcast will be streamed around the globe on the Planet Canoe YouTube channel available to signed-up members.
The commentary will be led by Channel Nine’s lead commentator David Colbert, with three-time world champion Ros Lawrence of Australia on co-commentary. Sam Jordan, also of Channel Nine, will be on the ground too to interview paddlers.
