The International Canoe Federation is reminding those interested in taking part in an online canoe-kayak sprint coaching course that the deadline for registration is the end of this week (April 30).

The ICF has teamed up with the University of Physical Education in Budapest to present a three-month online coaching course, specifically designed for expert level canoe-kayak sprint coaches.

The University of Physical Education has reconfigured its international programmes to deal with Covid-19, allowing participants to undertake it’s world-leading classes from their home environment.

The level three canoe-sprint expert coach online course is designed to train and educate coaches from around the world, improving their knowledge, skills and competencies in theoretical, technical and practical aspects of coaching.

The end-goal is to give participants skills and qualifications to take responsibility over a team of coaches. The course meets the needs of coaches working with competitive athletes at a national level, as well as with advanced athletes at an international level.

The online course begins on May 2, and finishes on July 10. The application deadline is April 30. The course will be conducted in English, and graduates will receive the canoe-kayak sprint coach certificate level three, recognised and endorsed by the ICF and the University of Physical Education.
