Australia's Curtis McGrath added to his earlier tally to win gold in both the KL2 and VL2 classes as the 2016 ICF Paracanoe World Championships closed in Duisburg, Germany.

It was an exceptional day for the rising star of Paracanoe who has medalled in every world championships since his introduction to the sport in the 2014.

McGrath was joined on the podium by the 2013 World Champion Javier Reja (ESP, Silver) and Italy’s Giuseppe Di Lelio.

Brazil’s Luis Carlos Cardoso Da Silva also added to his medal tally with gold in the VL1 M 200m following his earlier bronze in the KL1.

Róbert Suba (HUN, Silver) and Jakub Tokarz (POL, Bronze) followed the Brazil’s speedster.

Japan picked up two medals in the VL1 W 200m but were just out sprinted by their American counterpart, Ann Yosida (USA).

Brazil added a second gold medal to add to their afternoon’s tally with Aline Souza Lopes (VL3 W 200m).

Australia added further to their tally when Susan Seipel won the VL2 W 200m.

Pier Alberto Buccoliero (ITA) managed to overhaul Russia’s Aleksei Egorov in the VL3 M 200m to secure his nations first gold of the championships.

Britain’s Martin Tweedie added bronze to his nations haul.
