Applications to bid for select International Canoe Federation World Championships and World Cups for the 2027-2028 seasons have opened.
In 2027, interested National Federations can now put in their proposals for World Cups in Canoe Sprint, Canoe Slalom, Canoe Marathon, Canoe Ocean Racing, Stand Up Paddle and Wildwater Canoeing.
The Junior and U23 World Championships in Canoe Slalom and the Club Crew World Championships in Dragon Boat are also up for grabs.
In 2028, National Federations have the opportunity to register their interest for the SUP, Dragon Boat and Wildwater Canoeing World Championships.
Among World Cups, members can bid for seven of the 10 ICF disciplines — Canoe Sprint, Canoe Slalom, Freestyle Canoe, Canoe Marathon, Canoe Ocean Racing, SUP and Wildwater Canoeing.
As of now, no events have been awarded for 2029 and beyond and they are open for bidding.
The first step of the event-bidding process is to complete the online form, available here.
Those who expressed their interest by filling out this form will receive the template of the Hosting Agreement.
The second phase of the bid process is filling out the discipline specific bid questionnaire.
The bidding documentation will be considered complete and eligible for evaluation only if all the questions of the Bid Questionnaire are answered, and the event budget is enclosed along with a signed Hosting Agreement.
The bidding documentation must be submitted to the events@canoeicf.sport email address and the respective committee chairs.
Discipline-specific operational requirements and host agreement annexes can be found here.
