The schedule for the 2019 ICF Canoe Freestyle World Championships in July has been released, featuring seven days of competition and culminating in a spectacular finale under lights in Spain’s picturesque town of Sort.

The first day of competition, featuring men’s and women’s medal events in squirt competition, will be held on Saturday, June 29. A glittering opening ceremony will be held straight after the medal presentations.

After a competition-free day for course preparation, the world’s best freestyle paddlers will be back on the water on Monday July 1, with the next medals being contested on Wednesday, July 3.

There will also be medal events on both Thursday and Friday night, before the final night of competition on Saturday, July 6. The men’s and women’s kayak surface finals will be contested under lights and will be broadcast live on several television networks.
