Manuela Gawehn

Manuela Gawehn has been the ICF Wildwater Canoeing Committee Chair since 2021. Durin her time, she helped significantly grow the number of participants in international Wildwater Canoeing competitions.  

Since 1993, she has been a licensed coach and advisor to the German national team, guiding both youth and senior athletes.  

Shje has been a Chief Official and Technical Delegate at numerous World and European Championships, Junior and U23 events, and World Cups. She played a crucial role in simplifying the disciplines rules and making development opportunities more accessible.

Gawehn was a national-level athlete in Wildwater Canoeing and Canoe Slalom from 1885 to 2005.
