Holding a Master’s degree in Sports Management, Dávid Bugár began his career with the municipal government of his hometown, Győr, where he focused on organizing European and World Championships across various sports. He later spent three years in Switzerland working for UEFA on the EURO 2020 project. After gaining valuable experience and establishing an extensive international network, he relocated to Hungary to apply his expertise within the domestic sports industry.

Since joining the ICF team in 2022, Dávid has contributed significantly to both data and events management, eventually taking the lead of the Sport Team in 2025. His primary goals include elevating the quality of ICF competitions by delivering high-standard events across all disciplines. Additionally, he works closely with the discipline committees to ensure the harmonisation of sport rules, competition formats, and ranking systems. In this role, Dávid supports the ‘Fit for Future’ strategy and ensures all sporting operations remain aligned with the ICF’s core values.
