DOODLE POLL CLASSIFICATION SCHEDULING INFORMATION TO THE NATIONAL FEDERATIONS

2017 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS IN PLOVDIV

DUE TO THE LIMITED NUMBER OF TIME SLOTS FOR PARACANOE CLASSIFICATIONS: 

Only athletes who are competing may be booked into a classification slot. We will only classify athletes who are reserves/spares if there are time slots left when the doodle poll closes. 

Paracanoe Kayak athletes who require classification are those with one of the following statuses:

    • REVIEW Status with a Fixed Review Date before the Competition

    • REVIEW Status or

    • New Status

ICF has submitted a new classification system to IPC for approval. Due to proposed changes in the Va’a Athlete Classification system for Tokyo 2020, Paracanoe Va’a athletes will only require classification if they are New Status.
 
ICF plans to initiate re-classification according to the new Va’a classification system at the 2017 World Championships as part of preparations for the 2018 competition season. The new classification system will not apply to competitions held in 2017.
 

Classification information:

 

 

 

Classification will be conducted between July 11th and July 12th.

The classification (including medical and technical classification) will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes per athlete.

Each national federation needs to book a time slot for each athlete. There will be 2 parallel time slots available.

Information on how to book a time slot for classification

  • 1. Click on one of the links listed above

    2. A time chart will appear with all time slots from between 9 and 18.30.

    3. There will be 2 parallel time slots available. Under each column the number of accessible times will be shown 0 (0 of 2) = all time slots are available, 1 (1 of 2) = 1 of 2 is booked, 2 (2 of 2) = 2 of 2 is booked etc.

    4. Red colour means that at least one time slot is available.

    5. Please write:

    • the name of the national federation,

    • the name of the athlete

    • the discipline the athlete wishes to be classified in

    • tick the box of the time you want to book (Example: SWE- Anders Andersson K1).

    • Do this for every athlete entering the classification. If you don’t know which athlete will be competing when you book your time slots, please enter national federation and send a list of which athletes will be classified no later than July 4th.

DEADLINE for booking a time for classification for the federation is June 12th.
