2017 ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup Series Information

World Cup Competitions must be open to all 5 Continents (rule 44.2.4).
World Cup Competitions are valid only if at least 6 Federations start (rule 44.2.5).
In the event of a tie in the final ranking, after the last race in the series, the higher ranking is given to the competitor having the best result in the last race in the World Cup Series (rule 44.8.5).
In 2017 the last race in the World Cup Series is World Cup Final La Seu D’Urgell, ESP
Points System
Points are awarded according to the Athlete’s ranking in each race in the World Cup Series. The points are awarded as per ICF rules (rule.44.8).
The points system used will be the same as used in the 2016 season except in the C1W event. C1W event will use the same points allocation as for C1M. See Appendix 1 for the 2017 points allocation.
Double points will be allocated for those who make the semi-final and finals phases in the World Cup Final at La Seu D’Urgell, ESP 8 – 10 September 2017.
An Athlete will be awarded zero (0) points for any race in the 2017 World Cup Series in which they do not compete.
Races
For the calculation of the overall ranking in the 2017 ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup Series five (5) World Cup races are included.
