Organizers of the World Waveski Surfing Titles anticipate that this year’s event in South Africa will be “one to remember” after receiving huge interest in the pre-tour.

The coastal city of East London is preparing to welcome waveski surfers from every corner of the globe for the flagship World Waveski Surfing Association event.

Scheduled to run from June 28 to July 7, World Waveski Surfing Titles promises an unparalleled showcase of skill, sportsmanship, and the unbridled spirit of competition.

The pre-tour Tour d'Afrique, taking place from from June 15 to 17, has set the stage for the main event, with all available spots booked within seven days.

Featuring 40 waveskiers, the tour will navigate the famous Garden Route from Cape Town to Jongensfontein, and then onto Jeffery’s Bay before culminating in East London for the World Waveski Surfing Titles.

The event will kick off with registration, a flag parade, and an opening ceremony at the renowned East London Golf Club, offering competitors a warm "Buffalo City" welcome.

Competition will commence on June 29 at Nahoon Reef, a world-renowned surf break known for its powerful and consistent waves.

The entire nine-day event will be live-streamed, allowing surfing enthusiasts to witness the prowess of the best waveski surfers across various age groups and open events, including adaptive.

Trystan Viaene, the event organizer, said: "We are thrilled to welcome the world to this magnificent arena.
