BIOGRAPHY
Tamas Buday jr (Tommy). Born Hungary Budapest, 1976 April 23. Tommy became a Sprint canoe athlete at a very young age with his older brother Attila and younger brother Peter following their fathers footsteps as a double Olympic bronze medallist in 1976. Once Tamas Sr retired he becomes Canada’s National Canoe Head coach while moving his entire family from Hungary ???? to Canada ????! He continued working as the head coach for over 25 years! Tommy and brother Attila both in sprint canoe as Junior world champions and multiple World Championship medalist went on to represent Canada at 3 Olympics! Tommy went on to becoming a fine Pro SUP athlete and a coach! While raising 2 boys and one daughter with very supporting wife Stephanie Bettez living in Montreal. Tommy is the owner and head coach at Lake SUP Gliders! Where he coaches new athletes on paddle boards for fun as well as for health and race strategies. The group is growing fast with programs for adults as well as youth. Tommy also coaches at the local cane/kayak club.
