Uzbekistan is making history by becoming the first Asian host of the International Canoe Federation Canoe Sprint World Championships.
It will be a thrilling three days of competition in Samarkand, with world titles up for grabs in 20 non-Olympic events.
Racing starts on Friday (August 23) before the medals are decided on Saturday (August 24) and Sunday (August 25).
