The 2018 edition of canoe sprint Olympic Hopes regatta in Poznan, Poland, concluded with 200 metres events and a complete dominance of the Hungarian team.

The Hungarians, alread a world powerhouse in canoe sprint, showed they are likely to remain that way well into the future with 40 medals over the three-day competition - 18 gold, 15 silver, 7 bronze.

German athletes won 30 medals in the past three days, while Canada finished third in the medal count.

Denmark was fourth in the final medal standings, Czech Republic fifth, Belarus sixth, Portugal seventh, France ninth, Ukraine tenth, Slovakia eleventh, Serbia 12^th, Poland 13^th, Bulgaria 14^th and Lithuania 15^th.

Hungary was on the top also in the Nations Cup, where all the places in the A finals brought points for the final standings. Germany was second, Belarus third, Czech Republic fifth, Slovakia sixth, Denmark seventh, Poland eighth, Serbia ninth, Ukraine tenth, Great Britain eleventh, Portugal 12^th, France 13^th, Lithuania 15^th, Bulgaria 17^th, Latvia 18^th, Croatia 20^th, while Italy and Sweden shared 21^st place.
