Ondrej Rolenc (CZE, C1M), Martina Satkova (CZE, C1W) and the duo of Tony Debray and Louis Lapointe (FRA, C2M) added sprint titles to their classic wins as the second set of medals were handed out at the 2016 ICF Wildwater Canoeing World Cup in Pau, France.
For Martina Satkova it has been an astonishing few days winning three gold medals in the wildwater (K1, C1 Classic and C1 Sprint), and also making the final of the C1W canoe slalom world cup.
Switzerland’s Melanie Mathys won the K1W negotiating the physically demanding course in an impressive 48.34 seconds.
Costanza Bonaccorsi (ITA) and Marion Leriche (FRA) were the next two fastest and collected silver and bronze.
Slovenia’s Nejc Znidarci won gold in the K1 Men Sprint logging the best time of the day as he stopped the clock at 42.89 seconds.
Meanwhile C2M winners, Debray and Lapointe were joined on the podium by a quartet of countrymen as the partnerships of Quentin Dazeur and Stephane Santamaria, plus Arthur Leduc and Leo Zouggar won silver and bronze respectively.
